Overview: The team is hired to track down and recover some assets from a container ship that has fallen into the hands of pirates. The only issue? The freighter is currently several hundred kilometers offshore.
The team is called by Ganef and told that he’s got another ‘hot one’ for them. They need to meet a Johnson at Hahn Free Market, at Picnic Table’s, to discuss some very timely business. The team makes their way to the market and meets Brother 9, a Chinese fixer who wants them to recover some cargo from a container ship that’s off the coast of Cal Free. The ship is mostly automated, but it’s been captured by pirates, and is being stolen, and taken off course.
The team steals a fishing boat from the bay, and heads out. When they arrive at the container ship, they find it to be dark and seemingly abandoned. They severe storm adds to the ‘ghost ship’ vibe. They team sneaks aboard, discovers thousands of cargo containers, and decides to find a cargo manifest to make their search easier. They sneak towards the rear of the ship, and quickly stumble upon one of the pirates emerging from the bathroom. Around the same time, Fender’s boat is discovered off of the port side and an alarm is raised on the ship. The team fights their way to the bridge, and takes back the boat. They find the two pilots, and free them, then make their way into the hold to recover the cargo. The cargo consists of 15 young woman, malnourished and filthy, and one large ‘egg’, which seems to contain a young AI. They make their escape deliver the goods to Brother 9.
