P-522 – ‘English Empire’

The group arrives on P-522 in mid afternoon, after a morning full of meetings with local cartographers on ‘Dinosaur Earth’. When they emerge from the portal in a steam-punkish Victorian England they are immediately met by the Duke’s guards, who escort them to a castle to meet with the duke.

After a nerve wracking wait, the team finally meets with the duke, who it turns out is another world jumper. They learn that faction that is following them is called the Institute, and they police the multiverse. The duke provides what information that they can, but warns them that he will need to report their presence to the Institute. After some additional questions they leave and find a place to bunk down for the night.

In the morning, the teams makes plans for provisioning and travel over breakfast. The tablet is finally ready, so they look over their options. One thing that sticks out is a portal in Amesbury that is listed as ‘unknown’. After some research, they find that this portal must be located at Stonehenge. While discussing options the team is attacked by an assassin in futuristic armor. Mark takes her down quickly. Knowing that their time is short, the group forgoes provisioning, mounts up, and heads out of town.

The group makes their way to Stonehenge as quickly as they can on horseback. Once they arrive, it’s apparent that not only is Stonehenge a portal, but it’s a Hub. They have network connectivity there, and they can choose which portal to connect to. While working on opening a portal, the team is attacked by an Institute strike-force. After a narrow victory, they realize that time is of the essence and open the first portal they see. The team jumps in and arrives in San Francisco during the summer of love.

Institute Goggles:
The institute googles provide a personal heads up display for any linked technology that projects an overlay in the user’s field of vision, as well as a radio communications and data link to allow another person to see what the wearer sees. They also incorporate low-light and thermographic sensors.

IT Beacon:
The IR beacon sheds light like a torch in the visible spectrum (20′), but to those with low-light vision, it sheds light out to 60′, reducing all visibility modifiers.

Hackcard:
The hackcard is a disposable, multi-use item designed to allow those who are not computer savvy to bypass technological and computer barriers or perform computer related tasks. It is about the size of a credit card. This specific hackcard is programmed to bypass security and open doors. It has 4 charges remaining.

SprayScreen:
Unknown Purpose.

Morphic Disguse Band:
