23 June 2074, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, The Allied German States – In a tragic accident that marred the world’s attempt to find a unified solution to the post-nuclear natural resource shortage, a ski tram broke free of its cable to crash into the stone bridge on which Revlupp CEO Jan Schaefer and others were standing to give the keynote address. After the tram cable broke, sending the car hurdling toward the bridge, it ignited in a massive explosion that sent attendees to the conference scurrying for cover in the forest and killing security personnel, the keynote speak, and other conference organizers.

TerraFirst! Quickly took credit for the attack – their first since they detonated 49 nuclear bombs in major cities across the globe. “You shall splinter like rotten wood beneath the heals of Mother Gaia,” said “El Jefe” Santiago – a spokesperson for the terrorist organization, in a recorded message.

The Corporate Court went into emergency session immediately following the attack, though they have made no public common other than “those responsible for this disaster are a plague on humanity who will be smoked out of their jungle hiding places and exterminated.”
