GREAT NECK, LONG ISLAND—One woman is dead, and another is in critical condition after an explosion of gun violence Sunday night. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:00pm at King’s Point Park in Great Neck Long Island. According to eye-witness reports the shooting stemmed from an argument between an unknown assailant and a local woman regarding the behavior of her child.
“It was crazy,” said Steven Heen, a local businessman who was attending the fireworks display. “They were arguing about something, I think it was about the lady’s kid, and all of a sudden he just pulled out a machine gun and shot her in the face. People started screaming and running. I couldn’t believe it.”
Police are not disclosing the woman’s name at this time.
