The team is hired to retrieve an ancient book from the University of Dublin. They successfully infiltrate the College of Thaumaturgy, taking advantage of the revelry surrounding a rugby match. Unfortunately, once they arrive at the library to steal the book, it is already gone and the team, discovered by the college security, must fight their way out. The stealth run turns into a blood bath and a single, invisible mage nearly kills the entire team until Sweet Cassie commands him to jump to his death.
Without the book, the team hits up their contacts to try and locate it. One lead takes them to the docks where they meet up with the Crimson Mage and his team – apparently seeking the same item. They drive off the Horror-sworn and finally catch a break – the book is at Leap Castle in Country Erie. The team takes off, the police bands broadcasting their IDs.
The team tries a direct approach to the castle after a malevolent spirit of some sort turned Hiro against Achilles, seemingly gaining power as they fought one another. Once inside the Castle, the lady of the castle lead Quicksilver away, while the rest of the team searched for the book. They found – in the library of a Raksasha. The lady, another spirit, turned on Quicksilver and the team found themselves embroiled in a battle on two fronts. As the dust settled, only Sancho and the Raksasha were conscious. Facing defeat, Sancho cut a deal with the spirit, trading Achilles immortal soul for the book and the lives of his team.
Rewards: Each team member receives some nuyen (I don’t remember how much) and 10 karma.
