HONG KONG FREE ENTERPRISE ZONE: For the first time since February’s riots outside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hong Kong Municipal Police Force have declared martial law throughout the Kownloon Peninsula. This bold declaration comes at the end of nearly a full week of bloody murders and shootouts in and around the Kowloon area. The HKMPF are hesitant to point fingers, but all signs point to Hong Kong’s normally subdued organized crime syndicates. Over the last three months independent sources have linked nearly 50 violent crimes and over two dozen murders to one or another of the crime families.
