At the behest of Aron, the team attends a meeting with a Johnson at ‘The Peak’. Aron negotiates with the rep for a good half an hour, and some information is exchanged. Bu leaves with the Johnson ‘to do some work for him’.

Aron and some of the team have been searching for information on Kiril for weeks. His attitude, secretiveness, and what they know about his past connections to the corps have them worried that he’s more than he says he is. Aron decides to arrange a meet with Evo, whom Kiril seems to have a past with. He hopes to trade for information. At the meet, Aron recognises the rep as Vladomir Prelovac, the Evo representative that the Russans almost sold Kiril to. After some negotiation, Aron walks away with a packet of information in exchange for some cash, a weeks worth of BuHao’s time, and the promise to arrange a meet with Kiril at a later date.
BuHao accompanies Vladimir and his associates to the airport and off to Vladivostok, where Evo has a think tank that is conducting Technomancer research. Upon landing at the airport BuHao exits the plane… and her memory stops there. The next thing that she knows she is in a limousine on the way back to the airport to leave Vladivostok. She is accompanied by bodyguards who asure her that everything is alright, and that everything that she did was consentual. Her mind is still a bit fuzzy as she flies back to Hong Kong.
Upon landing, BuHao conducts a full system scan. She discovers an unspecified amount of hardware memory resident inside her skull. Evo implanted her with something!
