William Mayne is contacted by ‘a former associate’ to do some work. He gathers part of the team, and meets the client,Tiger Bright, at a local watering hole to discuss the run. Tiger needs the team to extract a friend of his from a local low-security MCT medical facility. She has been committed there with a fairly uncommon mental disorder known as AIPS (Artificially Induced Psychotropic Schizophrenia Syndrome), which was caused by her being jacked in during the crash 2.0. Tiger claims that he got a distressing message from her out of nowhere that included her location, a string of numbers, and, simply, “HELP”. After an afternoons worth of planning with all of the intel that Tiger could collect, the team enters the facility disguised as doctors, takes out the security, and escapes with the target in tow. Tiger pays them in cash, contacts, and information.
- What’s really going on: The run is pretty straightforward for once. Tiger’s friend has been unwilling indoctrinated into an MCT experimental program analyzing AIPs, AHMVS, and their link to virtuakinetic activity. She managed to get a communication out while she was in transit from one MCT facility to another.

MCT is up to something really nasty here. Tiger’s friend was not the only one locked up, and in addition there was absolutely 0 tech anywhere near these guys. That plus the freaky way she could get into my comm with absolutely no cyberware, hardware, or electronics of any kind makes wonder what MCT is researching….
It wasn’t just his friend either. Tiger was able to send files and shit when his commlink was off and sitting in the front seat. We may have stumbled on to things which din’t want to be stumbled on.
