The characters are each informed of a job opportunity to do some bodyguard work for a short time, and on short notice. They meet their Johnson, a known fixer named ‘Tokyo Joe‘ at the gates to the Happy Valley Cemetery. During a short limo ride across town he explains that all they have to do is make sure that his meeting not too far away is not interrupted. Simple, eh?
The team arrives at Kowloon Park about 20 minutes before the meeting is set to take place. The meeting will be held inside a pavilion nearby. They fan out and take up positions in the area, and begin their watch. Shortly, the attendees arrive, and it’s a veritable who’s-who of information brokers, triad representatives, and fixers. Over the course of the hour, the party stops a few attempts to interrupt the proceedings, and then goes their separate ways.
- What’s Really Going Down: Lee Wo was a prominent lawyer, politico, and humanitarian in Hong Kong. He also had his fingers deeply buried into the underworld of the city. Surprisingly, Wo wasn’t in the pocket of the Triad. Instead, he acted as an impartial information broker and intermediary in the shadows. His designated successor (Ken Lo) has organized a meeting of sorts to settle his affairs immediately following his funeral.
