T-102 – ‘The God Wars’

Our story picks up from last seasons cliff-hanger…

The team emerges into a small room, with sounds of gunfire coming from outside. The door opens, and a woman in military garb strolls into the room.

She addresses the group: “Father Eli, I’m glad you’re here. We’ve got work to do.”

The Woman introduces herself as ‘Sister Mary’. Sister Mary knows of Eli. She’s met him 3 times before… and three times she’s seen him die. The party has arrived in ‘Heaven’; more specifically, they are on the space station Arcadia, and  she’s Dominus Seraphim: the leader of the place.  Mary quickly questions the team, then takes them to the med-bay “for analysis”. In the med-bay they meet a local by the name of ‘Caboose’, who doesn’t seem to be quite all there. They also are introduced to Ko Bong an off-worlder, with no explanation of how he came to be here, other than ‘The world moves, and I move with it’.

They are briefed…. The heavens are at war, they have been ‘ever since the Heavenly Veil Was torn’. Lucifer’s minions attacked, and Michael, the first Arch-Angel, rose up wielding a sword of light to bring war against the forces of evil. The Seraph have been fighting them for generations. In fact, the war’s been going on as long as anyone can remember. The group is told that they have two options: they can stay sheltered here, until the Seraphim liberates ‘the Firmament’, in which case they can return home. That, or they can fight the Demons until they die, like the Angels do.

Our heroes are locked in the medbay overnight to consider the offer. When they wake, disaster has struck: The demons have overtaken Arcadia.

The team fights their way to the bridge, and eventually to the flight bay, where they commandeer a ship and flee planetside and through a gate, to another world, with Caboose and Ko Bong in tow.

God Wars ‘Demon’ Weaponry: These weapons, taken from fallen aliens on the space station Arcadia, use specialized power packs to super-heat and compress gasses into plasma that can eat through materials and cause severe damage. These weapons are slightly too big and unwieldy for your ‘standard’ sized human, and impose a -2 to hit when firing.

Weapon Damage Critical Type Range Inc ROF Magazine Size Weight PL
Demon Pistol 3d8 20 Fire 40 feet S 8 clip Medium 5lbs 7
Demon Rifle 3d10 20 Fire 80 feet S 20 box Large 12lbs 7

Vibro-Sword: The Vibro-Sword utilizes high-speed sonic vibrations to make the weapon more deadly. A vibrogenerator found in the hilt sends out high-frequency sonic pulses that cause the blade to be sent into an extremely quick vibration. This makes the weapons exceptionally effective against organic tissue.
