Overview: The team is hired to track down and bring in Jack Turner, a well known smuggler, who has gone into hiding in the Barrens.
Dear Ma,
Looks like I’m back in the police business again. Well, more on the mercenary side of things, but police work. Got a meet with the assistant DA of Seattle – woman called Oaks. She asked us to track a chip dealer named Jack Turner an’ bring him to justice. Had some run-ins with him before when we saved a girl he ‘napped, so we knew where he shacked.
Our hacker already had a wire on his fishing boat, and tracked it to his place. Turns out he wasn’t home. Guess his last deal was so big he had to go to ground with the Crimson Crush, a local gang. I do like this Turner’s apartment. Its remote, quiet, and the neighbors mind their own business. Since I figured Turner wouldn’t be returning anytime soon, I worked out a deal to rent his place before we took off to Redmond and the Crimson Crush hangout. Need to figure out how to get a Trid signal in there though, with the new Urban Brawl season starting soon.
Anyway, we went to some bar in Redmond called the Scum Pit. I guess they don’t like elves, cuz they gave our hacker a real ma jung hua. He got drunk too. Guess it’s forgivable, as it was his birthday and all. The new guy, Little Hawk, came through though, and got an Orc taking to us. We worked out an address where we could find Turner, but were warned it weren’t no easy task.
Got to the hideout. Weren’t so bad. Some Orcs. A Mage. A spirit. Nothin’ a few spells, bullets, arrows, and a grenade can’t handle. With the hacker confusing their AR, we made quick work of em’. Found Turner hiding in a crate. He wouldn’t give up his supplier, but no matter. We got our mark, turned him in, and walked off into the sunset rich and prosperous – well, less poor.
