Criminals:

Benny Watanabe – Yakuza Sub-Boss
Benny is the local representative for the Wanabuchi-Rengo Yakuza in Hong Kong. While the Yaks don’t have much of an operation in the area they do tend to keep tabs on what’s going on there.

Jin ‘Jinny’ Mckee – Smuggler
Jinny is a half-Chinese/half-Souix army brat that settled into the smuggling scene in and out of Hong Kong. She specialized in ground transfers over land, the rougher the better. She usually has her ear to the ground about the ins and outs of the border region as well.

Jun Han – Triad Soldier
Jun Han is a former gang member made good… at least in Hong Kong standards. His gang was absorbed a few years ago by the emerging 10,000 Lions Triad. Jun is young (22) and has lived on the streets most of his life.

Mikael Petrov – Vory V Zakone
Petrov is a Vory lieutenant in charge of expanding the Vory’s limited presence in Hong Kong. Fresh from St. Petersburg, the Russian disapproves of violence for its own sake and prefers to use the exact amount of force necessary.

Ivan Romanov – Vory V Zakane (deceased)
Ivan is a typical Vory soldier; brutal and single minded. While his tactics are archaic, he usually gets the job done to his superior’s satisfaction. Ivan was shot and killed by Kiril during his interrogation in December, 2079, in Hong Kong following his involvement in a deal to turn Kiril over to a representative from Evo Corporation.

Fixers:

Deshun Wang – Fixer/Fence
Wang’s Electronics shack is set up at the Kowloon night market more often than not. A former Decker (pre-crash), Wang is usually up to date on matrix tech and programs.

Brother 9 – Fixer
Brother 9 is an independent fixer who brokers deals for several ‘street’ level clients, including the triads. During a meet he’s all business, and afterwards all smiles.

Lei “Lovely” Oolong – Fixer
Lei Oolong is a fixer in Hong Kong who works as a intermediate and Johnson for several corporate clients. He is known to associate with Evo and a few other Japanacorps, and make runs against the likes of Ares, Aztechnology, and other western corporations.

The Law:

Feng Tien – Knight Errant Detective
Feng spent years as a beat cop in Neo-Tokyo before coming to Hong Kong about 8 years ago. He is a detective for KE Central’s homicide division. Feng is in his 30’s, single, and likes to drink and gamble in his time off.

Magical:

Fan Yen – Talismonger
Fan Yen is a Shinto priest who runs the ‘Eastern Wind Medicine Shop’ in the Yau Tsim Mong district of Hong Kong. They specialize in exotic animal parts and telesma. He is in his late 50s, and dresses in traditional monk’s garb.

Runners:

Tiger Bright – Hacker
Tiger is a Hong Kong based decker from way back. He fled town for a few years immediately after the crash, but has recently returned and is re-establishing contact with old business associates.

Street Types:

Ben Huong – Squatter/Snitch
Ben is a homeless man who moves from place to place in Kowloon and Yaou Tsim Mong. His background is sketchy, but at one point he may have worked as a company mage. If you go to see him, make sure you bring some rice wine, or he won’t tell you anything.

Maria Yi – Bartender
25 year old Maria has bartended at 348 Disco for a few years, and keeps her ear to the ground. She’s a bit of a snitch, and there’s no telling if what you ask about might be blabbed to someone else later.
